When will spring arrive?

I know I am a bear, but I would like to see spring get here. I like a good nap, but I need to see sunshine and flowers.

Snowprise!!!

We woke up this morning and took a look out the window. Snow again! We were not expecting this! But now, I just have to get out and have some fun in this...just in case it will not be here for long...
I took a stroll up the street to make an important stop...
I hit the Peets for some warm coffee, just perfect for this kind of day!
I had to stop and take a break from all the trudging in the snow! I am a little out of shape!
One good thing a bear loves about snow...berries!!!!

Bear Will Explain

Sometimes, people ask me things. This is because I know things. I have a lot of time to sit here and ponder life.
Right now, we are in the midst of an economic downturn. Children, I will tell you why that is:
Things were good. People were making money. But some wanted more. So, they decided to take risks. They began to offer loans to people who were not ready for them. The lenders knew that the folks who wanted to borrow would agree to terms that were not reasonable, because they were desperate. The borrowers were as greedy as the lenders and both let reason fly away in the wind.
Then it happened. The bill came due. At first it did not worry the lenders when some of the holders of the risky loans started not to pay. "We have enough good loans to cover these bad ones!" they thought.
But then it became epidemic. Why? A risk is a risk. Everyone took too many risks. Lending and borrowing. Both motivated by greed. It turns out that this whole industry housed in shiny tall buildings were really houses of cards. They fell over. Risk is no longer in fashion.
Children, listen to the Bear. Do not take candy from the someone who makes you crazy promises.

Bored Bear

I know it's been a while since I posted on here...but I've been hibernating! The sun is shinning today, and although it is still very cold, I am going to venture out. I think I will ride the "MAX" train and see where it takes me! Look at how sad and bored I look...I must change this....

Hungry! GRRRRRR....

I was busy updating my blog the other morning, when I got hungry for something more than just beer and toast for breakfast.
So I got out the pots and pans and started cooking up a mess of vittles!
I made enough soup and chickens to feed an army of bears! I will be one plump bear this winter!

Friends and memories! Sniff..

This is me and my friend Wes. We are attending a Mariners game in Seattle together. We like to do stuff together. We're pretty tight...I know you will not believe this, but they put a shot of me up on the jumbo-tron during the game! I'm that cute!I feel like hopping on a plane and having some airplane coffee!I wish I could go to Ivar's with my best pal Wes...He always shares his fries with me! If he doesn't, I bite his hand! I know it is only January, but I wish spring would come so I could enjoy all the flowers!

Bear in the Northwest

One day I hopped on a plane and went to Seattle. I spied a tall object in the distance, and thought it would be the perfect place to get a bear's eye view of things...It was a good hunch. You can get a closer look at stuff too, if you are willing to drop some coin into one of these...I smelled the delicious scent of fresh FISH, and my stomach started to growl. So, I decided to follow my nose to it...A bear likes to be where the fish are!

Since I had a lot of daylight left, I rented a car, and drove like a wild bear in the direction of the coast!I found this little spot, and took a bear nap in these woods at the end of the day.

Happy New Year! What Now?

It's a new year, and I can't help but wonder where it will take me.I wouldn't mind sitting under a shady tree right about now, because the cold rain and snow is getting pretty old now.Some tasty vittles on a beautiful day. This is my new years resolution-to indulge in as much as possible in'09!
